Welcome to New Farm United Soccer Club
In 1986, local New Farm children commenced playing competitive soccer matches at the New Farm Park fields and the New Farm United Soccer Club (NFUSC) was officially formed. Over the following 26 years the Club grew into a vibrant junior Club with over 250 boy and girl players ranging in age from U6 to U17. With many of our juniors continuing to play at New Farm through their teens, the time seemed right for New Farm to expand into senior soccer. In 2013, New Farm United will be entering teams in restricted age competitions from U6 to U20 and will enter a Firsts and Reserves team in the newly formed Football Brisbane Capital 4 League. Our 100% volunteer run Club’s focus on junior soccer has created a unique community sporting environment for players and their families.
The Club’s priority is to enable players to develop and reach their individual potential in skill, team participation and enjoyment. Our Club has claimed Premierships, Championships, Improvers and Referee awards with several of our players reaching junior representative level.
New Farm United Soccer Club (NFUSC) is an incorporated non profit organisation owned by its members. The operation of NFUSC is governed by the rules that provide for administration by a Management Committee formed from the membership. The Facilities used by NFUSC are leased from Brisbane City Council and NFUSC has exclusive use for the support of community sport. The Club is responsible for the ongoing repair and maintenance of the soccer fields and Club house.
Football Brisbane Inc (FBI) at www.footballbrisbane.com.au provides the competition and NFUSC provides the facilities and management structure that allows teams to compete. Teams, players and parents, are accountable for managing themselves including the appointment of a Team Manager and Coach and organisation of the Team training.
The support of Club parents and carers plays a vital role in the smooth running and long term viability of our Club. Club Committee Members, Coaches and Team Managers give a great deal of time and effort on a voluntary basis to the running of the Club, and we welcome and appreciate any offers of help from parents, family members, friends and members of the community to help share and lighten the load.
If you have a problem or wish to offer your assistance, please feel free to discuss it with any Committee Member. We look forward to building on our previous success and trust that you will all enjoy the coming season.
