LINEMARKERS

Role descriptor

  • Marking/remarking of lines is needed ‘almost’ every Friday prior to match day weekends (takes about 1.5 to 2 hrs to remark)
  • Team of 3 would be ideal with one person to take on responsibility for reviewing field status, rostering and ensuring work gets done

  • Be able to walk in a straight line

Time commitment

  • Approximately 1.5 – 2 hrs per week during season (n.b. Only 16 wks left to go this season). 30 hrs total or 10 hrs ea. (5 duties) per person.
SPONSORSHIP & FUNDRAISING URGENT

Role Descriptor

  • Approaching local businesses to renew/sell team sponsorships (as they expire)
  • Following up on any approaches for sponsorship that Club receives from families/local businesses interested in sponsorship to assess, provide information, finalise (if appropriate)
  • Maintaining audit of all ongoing sponsorships to ensure obligations are being met and that any gaps are identified – team uniforms, signage, website, events etc.
  • Liaising with equipment & apparel coordinator and communications team to ensure sponsorship obligations are being met (i.e. teams wearing current sponsor uniforms)
  • Coordinating opportunities for sponsors using Club’s social media and communication channels
  • Considering and implementing any other fundraising opportunities throughout season i.e. raffles etc.

  • Confidence to engage with potential sponsors
  • Basic computer skills

GRANTS COORDINATOR URGENT

Role descriptor

  • Investigate opportunities and assess and prepare grant applications on behalf of Club
  • Development of a plan of grants required to keep NFUSC operational and investigate potential grant options
  • A “working from home role”

PR COORDINATOR

Role Descriptor

  • Investigating and creating opportunities and content to promote Club in local media via stories and images to engender positive attitude toward Club within Community, sponsors, our own families/players and importantly amongst our key stakeholders at BCC
  • Creating and sourcing content to use in Club’s own communication channels i.e. Facebook, email data base, newsletter, website
  • Strong links with Website Manager
  • Source, take and/or organise photos to accompany stories (and potentially use on website and social media)

  • Confidence to engage with media outlets
  • Basic computer skills
  • Good social media skills
  • Media style writing skills
  • Working from home role

WEBSITE MANAGER

Role Descriptor

  • Review of current site to determine opportunities for improvement (and oversee implementation in consultation with Committee re any investment required)
  • Ongoing check and maintenance of Club website
  • Oversee major updates to website content and formatting but will share role for minor updates with Club Secretary e.g. fixtures/news/events etc) as needed – Brooke is this how you see it?
  • Strong links with PR Manager, Secretary, Events team and Fixture Coordinator

TEAM PHOTO & TROPHY COORDINATORS

Role Descriptor

  • Overseeing and co-ordinating photo day/team photo’s and trophies/award for end of season trophy day (Team Photos usually happen in late July/early Aug & Trophy Day is held in early Oct)
  • Liaising with registrars to build and check final data base of teams/players for team photos and trophies; and Coach/Manager end of season gifts; liaising with Team Manager to ensure all names are spelt correctly
  • Booking photographer and organising team photo weekend roster based on fixtures (will need to work with fixture controller)
  • Distributing photo day weekend roster and communicating with team managers to organise families and players
  • Checking and distributing team photo proofs for final approval; and placing final order
  • Liaising with Committee on selection/cost of medals/trophies and Coach/Manager gifts and placing order
  • Checking & setting up trophies/photos for distribution on trophy day

EQUIPMENT/APPAREL TEAM

Role Descriptor

  • This role could be shared/supported by 2 – 3 people as there are 4 distinct areas (or could be one person as team leader with support)
    1. Game Day Equipment
      • Goals, nets, flags, fences, dug outs, match balls, whistles,
      • Ensuring all equipment for game day is available and in working order; coordinating repair/reorder as needed)
    2. Training Equipment
      • Training goals, training balls, bibs, cones, ladders (and any other specialist equipment required)
      • Ensuring all equipment for Coaches to use during training is distributed and maintained and that shared training equipment is accessible and in good order; coordinating repair/reorder as needed)
    3. Match Day Uniforms/Kit Bags
      • Setting up individual team kit bags at beginning of season for hand over to team managers (match jerseys, goal keeper jersey & gloves, whistle, bibs)
      • Updating kits to accommodate to size/number requirements
      • Liaising with sponsorship coordinator to ensure all sponsored team kits are active (and complete)
      • Coordinating return and audit at end of season
      • Ordering new match jerseys/bibs as needed
    4. Player Apparel
      • Socks, shorts, shin pads, caps, scarves, training tops etc.
      • Ordering, pricing and maintaining stock level of Club apparel for sale through uniform shop
      • Coordinating volunteer sales team for sign on weekends and first training week & match weekend of season

GROUND OFFICIAL TEAM URGENT

Role Descriptor

  • It is a requirement of the Club’s participation in the Football Brisbane Competition that a Ground Official is appointed for all matches
  • We need a team of at least 4 people to cover season and team members will need to commit to multiple duties
  • Ground Officials are the match day Club official/s responsible for monitoring Saturday match day logistics to ensure that Club is run safely and efficiently.
  • Duty can be split into early and late shifts pending fixtures but Club appointed GO will need to ensure handover to junior comp/senior team GO (or Club lock up) prior to leaving grounds
  • Match Day Ground Official duties include guiding rostered team in field set up; goal set up check; monitoring of official playing area; monitoring parent/spectator behaviour; welcoming official referees and directing visitor teams to fields as required; directing parents/players to first aid kit/ice packs as needed

  • Will vary, minimum of 25 hours for the season, will be in blocks of time
  • 25hrs p/person x $31 p/hr* (100 hrs total)= You will be making $775 worth  of contribution to NFUSC
FIXTURE CONTROLLER

Role Descriptor

  • Liaise with external competition organisers (e.g. Football Brisbane) to assist with most appropriate fixturing of all home games
  • Scrutinises externally generated fixtures for potential clashes
  • Interprets and distributes externally generated fixtures to all relevant teams (and advises where link to ongoing fixtures can be sourced)
  • Generates fixtures for in house competition to provide to teams and to secretary/web manager for upload onto Website (and updates as required)
  • Check and advise individual team managers and Match Day Coordinator if match times/locations are changed and liaises with Football Brisbane if rescheduling is required (e.g. wet weather)
  • Ensures that match day Ground Official/s and Match Day Coordinator have most up to date copy of home fixture on hand ready for match day weekend

EVENTS COORDINATOR/TEAM

Role Descriptor

  • Responsible for organising and implementing major events such as PITP & Trophy Day
  • Council approval needs to be secured prior to event so BCC needs to be notified 4 – 5 weeks prior to event
  • Ensure that event complies with community liquor licence/permit requirements & ensure local police are notified of event
  • Coordinating food, beverage req & placing orders including working with Canteen Coordinator to ensure regular stocks are adequate (and planning timing/delivery of external food e.g. pizza)
  • Coordinating bar requirements e.g. Estimate quantities and purchase alcohol/ice etc.
  • Coordinating rosters to cover canteen, BBQ, bar, set up, pack up, clean up
  • Coordinating pricing and preparing price lists for event for canteen, bar and food (organising floats with Treasurer)
  • Coordinating any equipment requirements hire e.g. Jumping Castle; Face Painting, Stage/PA etc. (organising payment through Treasurer)
  • Promoting event through Club channels (email, website, Facebook)
  • Liaise with sponsorship coordinator to identify any sponsor opportunities
  • Consider other event opportunities throughout season

  • 50 hrs per person x $31 p/hr* (200 hours total) = You will be making  $1,550 worth  of contribution to NFUSC
CANTEEN COORDINATOR

We are currently on an outsourced canteen arrangement. While the arrangement exists there is no need for canteen volunteers.

SUPPORT ROLE TO SECRETARY

Role Descriptor

  • Assisting with promotion of Club events and activities i.e. distributing sign weekend information to local schools etc.; organising signage at Clubhouse etc.
  • Organising online registration and ID badges for volunteer Coaches and Managers through Football Brisbane
  • Organising Blue Cards for all non parent volunteers
  • Checking and maintaining Facebook page and website updates
    • It is important to note that this person needs to be available to check FB page on daily basis and post/respond/update content (and remove any inappropriate content) on short notice if needed

MATCH DAY COORDINATORS URGENT

Role Descriptor

  • Responsible for allocating field set up and pack up duty to teams at beginning of season (and reminding/checking prior to match weekend that team managers are aware of and have team parents ready for duty)
  • Responsible for preparation and coordination of Ground Official roster for season including advising/checking that junior competitive teams/senior teams are appointing appropriate team ground officials for all home matches
  • Check in with Canteen Coordinator to ensure that all teams have been notified of canteen duties for upcoming weekend
  • Assisting and guiding teams to help them organise appropriate referee support for their home matches
  • Provide weekend fixture and duty roster document for display at Clubhouse each weekend

Donate Business and Trade Skills 

We are looking for members of the community who may be willing to work with us on many projects in 2019. If you are a business owner, a tradie, or have a special talent you would be willing to provide on a volunteer basis, please let us know.

Membership Donations
